The Far Away Land, My Home

Way back in High School, never did we experience such extravagance in Magallanes, a place where anyone who would come to visit might just say, "One of the poorest town in Sorsogon". Staying for almost 4 years  in the progressive province of Albay, I've seen enough civilization which I would like to impart to the people of Magallanes. But then I guess, there's no need to exert such effort because just last week, I saw how Magallanes leveled up and portrayed a poor Town turned into a civilized one.

I shot one of the activities in Magallanes, wherein different school bands paraded around town as they celebrated Nutrition Month, just in case it would turn out well, and yes it did. The students that participated the said event represented their schools with mascots and personalized headdresses.

The event was headed by the LGU of Magallanes themed as "Isulong ang Breastfeeding: Tama, Sapat at Ekslusibo". The schools showcased the Go, Grow and Glow food by bringing baskets full of fruits and vegetables and wearing headdresses and costumes.

Two primary and Four secondary school bands roamed the town with their galas and musics. One of which was the elementary school  where I graduated from (below) and its rival school (right).

Here are the photos I took during the event.

And the Mascots. I suggest to look closely to avoid misinterpretation. They're cute anyway. :)

Itchy sight

Higad. A "higad" is an itchy worm surrounded by itchy hairs. This itchy thing will make you scratch your itchy skin. Higad is full of itchiness, I swear. This make corazon (The higad below) my bitchy, i mean, itchy worm. :)

Corazon. Whatever her age is. Single and available. Who wants her? Goodluck.

Emotimans 2011

Emotimans stands for "Emotions" and "Humans". I'm such a genius. :P

I now present to you my friends and beastfriends. Well, I've actually forced them to do this“drama” and fortunately, they were more than willing as they accepted my request. Their facial expressions signify the different emotions I asked them to react to. My favorite here is ALL OF IT! Because they we're all good! Yey!

At a glance

Accidentally caught this scene. Lovers under a cloudy sky. They just wanna feel warm and yes, I am innocent. :)

A sudden Voyage

Guinobatan church in different angles. Who says it's impossible to take pictures with this kind of weather?

Foods and bystanders. Guinobatan surely chooses food over a pile of gold.

Municipio de Guinobatan. Built since 1688. Wow.

Special thanks to Mr. Rey Ostria and Carlo Copada for escorting and touring me around the municipality of Guinobatan. Hoorah to us!

Kwadrado? I say.

213 hours ago, I had my head banging on the concrete wall of my room. It wasn't serious. Really. But my head really had a hard time thinking of possible articles or posts suited to my photography blog. When I, fortunately (sarcastically said) , picked photography out of the rolled papers on my professor's palm, I was like, Yes! nature loves me! and cried. I'm not a photographer nor a photography fan. Though, I appreciate artistic photos and all, I personally hated the idea being a photography blogger (sorry for the bluntness). It's just that, photography is not my niche, I haven't even thought about photography as a hobby for the 19 years of my existence. Honestly? I accepted the topic with a heavy heart. Then the inevitable happened. I had myself contemplating about things, worrying about my life and my BLOG and this is where it got me. Fun. I temporarily bid goodbye to my original blog site, which is a compilation of my short stories, pivoted and said hello to my newest blog the KWADRADOPIYA. Explaining why I chose this title for my blog here will just confuse you so if you are curious why I had my blog named Kwadradopiya, approach me if you see me and ask me personally. Well, to make the story short, I now wholeheartedly accepted the outcome of our professor's manipulation. For I just found myself pointing to things saying, "that would be perfect for my blog." then click the aperture and post. Have fun and welcome to my kwadradodipic world.
